Vom 27. bis 29. August folgten rund 200 Mitglieder aus 11 Ländern der Einladung der Bailliage Liechtenstein des internationalen Gourmetvereins Chaîne des Rôtisseurs zum Grand Chapitre im Fürstentum. Höhepunkt des dreitägigen Anlasses war die feierliche Inthronisationszeremonie auf Burg Gutenberg. Dabei wurden 19 Neumitglieder in die älteste Gastronomievereinigung der Welt aufgenommen sowie 32 weitere Mitglieder befördert oder geehrt.

Liechtenstein with all the senses

During the communal lunches and dinners, the guests got to know the local cuisine and their hosts, whilst wine and spirits producers showcased Liechtenstein’s culinary delights in a glass. Yet the Grand Chapitre was deliberately intended to be more than just a culinary journey. Through visits to Malbun, Gutenberg Castle and the old town of Vaduz, as well as encounters with local people, the international guests came to know the Principality as a diverse and welcoming destination. This demonstrated once again that whilst Liechtenstein may be small geographically, when it comes to hospitality and indulgence, it certainly thinks on a grander scale.

A culinary finale under the theme ‘Variety and Variety Shows’

The Grand Chapitre drew to a festive close with a gala dinner at the SAL in Schaan. Under the theme ‘Variety and Variety Show’, the professional members of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs – chefs and restaurateurs – showcased their collective culinary skills. Various Chaîne chefs were responsible for the five-course menu: each course bore its own distinctive style, yet together they formed a tribute to Liechtenstein.

There was plenty of variety on stage too. The Liechtenstein musical theatre singer Miriam Lümbacher captivated the audience with her voice. Naked Lunch added a musical spark, playfully demonstrating that hot pans aren’t just for the kitchen. With White Fly and a packed dance floor, the Grand Chapitre Liechtenstein came to an atmospheric close.

Enjoyment brings people together – even beyond the Grand Chapitre

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is recognised worldwide for its celebration of fine cuisine and refined table manners, as well as for hospitality, friendship, and bringing people together across national borders. The Bailliage Liechtenstein is always delighted to welcome people who share this enthusiasm and would like to get to know the Chaîne better.

After all, the Grand Chapitre demonstrated what the Chaîne is ultimately all about: enjoying good food together, bringing people together and fostering friendships through these encounters.
